According to the Mt Shasta Herald there was a meeting concerning plans for design and construction of a roof for the Siskiyou Ice Rink in Mt. Shasta. I would just like to encourage folks to show their support for projects like this one. These are the things that allow our cities to improve services to local folks, families and tourists alike. It sounds like a great idea to me! I wish I lived closer to Mt. Shasta and had a chance to use the skating rink more often.
“When they(the Ford and McConnell Foundations) know a project has the support of the community and is ready to move ahead and is likely to succeed they are more inclined to make the grant,” District administrator Mike Rodriguez said.
